Join the Coalition of Labor Union Women

 Did you know that between January 2007 and today, nearly 3,700 Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) members had not renewed their membership?

Help reverse that trend and join or rejoin CLUW today!

The UAW was a founding supporter of CLUW, which was established in 1974 to pursue these goals:

• To promote affirmative action in the workplace.
• To strengthen the role of women in unions.
• To organize the unorganized.
• To incease the involvement of women in the political and legislative process.

Your support of CLUW is vital to the Coalition's ability to prepare labor union women for the current and future fight for economic and social justice for all.

Those who renew trheir membership before Jan. 31, 2012 will be entered into a drawing for a free one-year membership, so join or renew today!

Here's a link to download a CLUW membership. Annual membership is $50; $15 for retirees. Checks should be made payable to CLUW. Although the membership application asks that it be returned to CLUW's Washington, D.C. office, we ask that you return your check and membership application to the UAW Women's Deprtment, 8000 E. Jefferson Ave., Detroit MI 48214.

Once we receive your application and payment, we will enter your name in the UAW-CLUW database and forward your check for processing to CLUW. You will receive your membership card from CLUW directly. 

We also encourage you to join a local CLUW chapter. You may contact the national CLUW office at (202) 508-6969 to learn about opportunities to participate in CLUW in your area.
